Our Department in the City of Decatur has gone to 4 / 10s, but the office itself is open 5 days a week, the staff has a staggered schedule. Working well so far!

We already do 10 hour work days, but its not cause of the gas prices, its because of staff shortage vs workload. But if you think about it, thats a great idea to save 1 days trip of gas

Its still here. The info on what you need to do to become a Permit Tech is located in the menu under "Permit Technician Information". For the practice tests, you must be a member and logged in to access it however, it is under the Chapter members Area of the menu under Online Practice Tests. It hasn't moved, is in the same place.

When it comes to a homeowner, we will schedule a specific time to meet them at the house, especially for water heater inspections. All other inspections are mostly done in the AM.

Would it be possible to have the meetings in a more centralized location? It is very difficult for others on the west side of town to always go to Plano or Frisco.

We take AM or PM but we don't set a more narrow time range.

When you are scheduling an inspection for the homeowner and/or builder, do you take a time request? Example 9 am, or do you just give AM or PM time slots? There are times when the homeowners have to leave for work.
